Northern California author Khaled Hosseini has been captivating audiences since he decided to write his first book, “The Kite Runner.” The Afghan-born author has just released his third novel, “And the Mountains Echoed,” about how we love, how we take care of one another, and how the choices we make resonate through generations.
What’s most notable about Hosseini, who moved to San Jose, California, with his family when he was in High School, is that he was a medical doctor before he became an author. In addition to being an author, Hosseini is a Goodwill Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and provides humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan through the Khaled Hosseini Foundation.
