The Ferry Building plays host to one of San Francisco’s most prestigious farmer’s markets, often rendering it a tourist attraction. However, if you are a Bay Area local who perhaps works nearby, consider taking 30 minutes of your lunch break to enjoy a truly unique experience.
Every Tuesday, from 12:00 – 12:30, a Foodwise Tour meets at the CUESA Info Booth in front of the Ferry Building. From there you will meet CUESA’s market chef, Elianna Friedman, who will introduce you to what’s in season and how you can take advantage of the freshest ingredients at home. Each tour ends with an introduction to one of the market sellers. Eating in season is a great way to stay healthy. Creating a deeper connection to our food can make us more happy. Enjoy this event and more by checking the calendar for details.
CUESA has a wonderful website full of seasonal recipes, articles about healthy food, and more details about their weekly tours. Check it out, here.
