This is one of my favorite smoothie of all time, rich in fiber, omega 3’s, and loaded with anti-oxidant super power.
This delicious breakfast smoothie is gluten free, dairy free, and gives your digestive system a break post holiday stuffing. Serves two so be prepared to share the love.
Ingredients
1 cup almond milk
½ cup water
1 cup frozen blueberries
¼ cup walnuts
4 dates
4 figs
1 tablespoon flax seed or chia seed
1 scoop protein powder (optional)
4 ice cubes
½ tsp stevia (to taste)
pinch of salt.
Blend yourself smooth. Pour and serve.
FYI – this recipe needs a good blender. If you don’t have a Vitamix or something close to it, try using a nut butter instead of whole raw nuts and omit the ice. And please let me know if you dig it.
