Morning smoothies make me happy. I’ve been eating a more simplified diet without many of the common allergens and loving these new morning smoothie recipes. Food isn’t a crutch these days and I’m way more conscious of eating for my life force and not just my taste buds.
Like this one here—this green smoothie is a wound healer, bone strengthener, colon cleanser, and tension reliever all in one. Cherries win the game with a super high count of anti-inflammatory benefits. Cashews are mega rich in magnesium and minerals that support healthy enzyme function, have been reported to lower blood pressure, and also pacify cravings. The color alone nourishes the heart and soul. Tastes like a matcha shake. Feels like a post-workout high.
Green Smoothie: Peaceful Warrior
1 1/2 cup cherries
2 handful of spinach
1/4 cup cashews (raw, unsalted)
1 1/2 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
1/2 cup coconut water
1 Tbls flax meal
1 Tbls protein powder
1 tsp bee pollen
Blend in Vitamix. Pour and serve. Sprinkle bee pollen on top. Serves 2.
